Beit Klal Yisrael celebrates all of the major festivals:

Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur involve the whole community coming together to pray, read and sing from the rich liturgy of the Yamim Nora’im. The Booking Form for the Haggim 2017 is available here.

Rosh Hashanah

On Rosh Hashanah we eat apples and honey and walk to a local park for tashlich

Yom Kippur

On Yom Kippur we spend the day in prayer, breaking fast together after the final shofar has been blown.

Sukkot

We get together to wave the Lulav underneath a member of the community’s Sukkah every year.

The community organizes a Tu Bishvat seder every year using our own special materials and with a strong emphasis on caring for the environment

Shavuot

At Shavuot we organise a ‘tikkun’ and seder, usually with another community.

Pesach

At Pesach the community organises a seder, usually on the second night held at a large external venue and featuring our legendary veggie matzo ball soup

Community Events

BKY actively participates and programs events to coincide with a number of community events throughout the year, including: Holocaust Memorial Day, Mitzvah Day and Mental Health Awareness Shabbat.
