Every service and study session is followed by a communal meal, so please do bring a vegetarian or kosher fish dish along, and drink and dessert if you can. We’ll see you there!
Erev Shabbat Services
We welcome in Shabbat from 6:30 on the first and third Friday evenings of each month. Services are led by either a professional or student Rabbi or a member of the community using our own Siddur. For listings, check the calendar.
After Service Events
On the first Friday of every month we hold an after sevice event after our communal meal, which could be a discussion , a performance, a talk or a film screening – details of the next event are in the calendar.
Torah Discussion Service
A Shabbat morning service led by Sef Townsend (Ba’al Tefillah) on the second Saturday of every month – check calendar for details.
You can read more about our Torah Discussion Services here.
On the fourth Saturday of the month BKY offers a special study session (below).
After Service Events and Study Sessions
We hold meetings which provide additional time to explore Judaism and Jewishness in a context other than that of services or other religious observance. We hope that these meetings will attract Jews who stay away from synagogue life, as well as those who have already made BKY their communal home.
After Service events run on the first Friday of every month after the Erev Shabbat Service (see above).
Study Sessions happen once a month on Saturday morning. Read more about them here.
